The historical magazine ArqueoTimes was introduced to the internet at the end of 2021 with three main objectives:
1- To serve as a first step in research for any interested party, positioning itself as an intermediate space between purely scientific publications and purely popular science publications, with the advantage of always having all information properly referenced, unlike many popular science magazines.
2- To serve as a revealer of techniques, methods, ideas, and reflections for specialized researchers, allowing them to discover at a glance new areas of research or specific cases from which they can benefit for their own research.
3- To serve as a space for debate, reflective and forward-thinking where the current situation is put into question, not just specifically historical issues but all branches involved in it, whether archival, archaeology, restoration, among many others. We see it necessary that there are projects like this one presented with fresh air and dynamism, which seeks to connect with citizens but avoids journalistic sensationalism and the usual fake news. Never has dissemination been more needed when so many falsehoods are intentionally spread. Fortunately, ArqueoTimes is not alone in this purpose, and a reflection of this are all our collaborators and of course all our readers, without whom this project would lack meaning. To all of them, thank you very much!
